Architecture involves a complete process from the genesis of the idea until it materializes and comes to life on its own. Nature, materials, light, scale, and context interrelate with the program, needs, economy, and technology to shape, through the Project, a committed response to the end-user and the city in which it integrates.

They founded SML Arquitectura in 2010 and have since been involved in a wide variety of projects of different types.

Methodology in our architecture studio

Each Project has its reason and personality, which must be addressed with the correct use of architectural tools. We believe in the link between exterior and interior, volume and space, so our projects aim primarily at caring for Architecture at all scales S-M-L (small – medium – large).
We firmly believe that quality Architecture does not depend on the Client's budget but on the Architect's ability to manage the tools at their disposal. Only the skill and experience of the Architect in their application ensure a fully satisfactory result.

As a multidisciplinary Architecture and Interior Design office, we are convinced that quality, design, innovation, and sustainability, as well as rigor in work development, are the foundations of professional excellence; and that the combination of all these aspects applied to Architecture directly benefits people's lives and city development.

Our experience in various real estate disciplines allows us to apply the knowledge gained in each of them, understand the needs of the Client and the Project, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders involved.

We design in a BIM environment and develop projects under Passivhaus and BREEAM standards.

The combination of their education and extensive professional experience, Javier as an Architect and Master in Construction Quality and Project Management from ETSAM, Passivhaus designer, BREEAM designer; and Natalia as an Architect awarded at Cornell University, College of Architecture, Art, and Planning in Ithaca, New York, has enabled them to design the tools so that both national and international Clients find in SML Arquitectura the global vision, understanding, quality, and technical support necessary to carry out their projects both in and outside Spain.

SML Arquitectura also comprises an excellent internal human and technical team, complemented by regular external collaborators who cover all necessary disciplines.
